Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2025

Be Native is committed to protecting your privacy while delivering an outstanding learning experience for Apple developers. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use our mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). If you have any questions, please contact us at info@benative.dev.

Who We Are

Be Native is operated by BN CODING SL, a company focused on educational software for Apple platforms. We blend deep platform expertise with a principled approach to privacy: every feature begins with a data-minimization review, every launch is paired with a legal and security check, and we continually evaluate new Apple frameworks to keep our implementation aligned with their latest protections. We design our Services with privacy and security as first-class features and limit the data we collect to what is strictly necessary to deliver and improve the experience.

How We Identify Devices and Sessions

When you open the app, we generate an anonymous device identifier through Apple Device Attestation using CBOR encryption. This identifier rotates every time you relaunch the app and is used solely to validate secure requests to our servers. We also create an anonymous session token that does not link back to you or your device. Both identifiers exist only for app functionality and expire automatically.

Using Be Native Without an Account

You can enjoy the entire catalog—including subscription content—without creating an account. We do not require your name, email, or any other personal data to stream lessons, play podcasts, browse articles, or follow guided courses when you stay signed out. Anonymous session tokens keep your place from screen to screen, and expire on their own so you can close the app without leaving a trail.

Creating an Account

If you choose to register, you may sign in with Sign in with Apple (SIWA) or create a Passkey account. These methods rely on unique credentials managed by Apple and may use Apple’s private email relay. The only attributes you can optionally provide are your display name and email address, and these are stored solely to give you control over your account. Your identity in our systems is always tied to the unique SIWA or Passkey credential identifier—not your personal details. At any time you can revoke the credential in Apple settings, and our servers will automatically reject future logins until you decide to reconnect.

Content and Progress Synchronization

Registered users can sync their progress across devices, including podcast playback, video lessons, article reads, course milestones, mini tracks, snippets, tips, and completion status. Digital notebooks and favorites lists are also synced. This information is encrypted in transit and at rest in our private cloud and is linked only to your SIWA or Passkey credential. You can delete your account at any time to remove this synchronized data, and we will cascade the deletion across backups within our standard retention windows.

Media Delivery and DRM

Training videos inside Be Native are protected with Apple FairPlay Streaming DRM. Each playback request generates a one-time license using anonymous attestation data, and the resulting content key context (CKC) is issued per session so it cannot be reused outside that request. We operate the DRM pipeline through our trusted media partner Axinom GmbH (Fürth Office, Kurgartenstrasse 37, 90762 Fürth, Germany). Axinom hosts the encrypted video segments, accompanying captions, and image assets that power our catalog.

No personal information is disclosed to Axinom. Only the anonymous DRM entitlement request—free from user identifiers—travels between Be Native, Apple’s FairPlay servers, and Axinom’s key service to produce the license necessary for playback. Axinom acts strictly as a hosting and delivery provider; no data processed there can be traced back to an individual, device, or account.

Analytics and Diagnostics

We collect anonymous analytics about general product interaction—such as which features are used most—and app performance diagnostics to maintain quality. These analytics are never tied to any identifier, device, or account. Raw analytics are aggregated daily and per-device traces are deleted to remove residual footprints.

Notifications

Push notifications are optional. If you opt in, we send broad updates such as new content releases or community events. Notifications are never personalized based on analytics, advertising profiles, or behavioral targeting.

App Store Privacy Summary

Apple’s App Store highlights the following categories as “Data Not Linked to You” for Be Native:

  • Identifiers: Anonymous user ID (for analytics and functionality) and rotating device ID (for functionality and analytics).
  • User Content: Course progress, notes, and favorites (for functionality and analytics).
  • Usage Data: Product interaction metrics (for analytics).
  • Contact Info: Optional name and email when you choose to register (for functionality).
  • Diagnostics: Performance data (for analytics).

None of these data points are linked to your real-world identity, and we never share them with third parties.

Data Storage and Retention

All data is hosted on secure servers operated directly by Be Native. Servers reside in encrypted volumes, sit inside access-controlled facilities, and are monitored 24/7 for intrusions. We store only the information generated through your use of the Services. Anonymous identifiers expire automatically. Account-related content remains available while your account exists and is deleted upon request or account closure. Aggregated analytics are retained for trend analysis, and underlying raw records are purged after aggregation. Long-term backups are likewise encrypted and follow the same retention policies.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring to safeguard your information. Device attestation, secure networking, encrypted storage, and hardware-backed key management are core components of our technical stack. We regularly review our safeguards to ensure they align with Apple’s platform requirements and evolving best practices, and we work with independent assessors to validate our controls.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

  • Use the app without creating an account.
  • Delete your account at any time from the app to remove synchronized data.
  • Disable push notifications through system settings.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your synchronized data by contacting info@benative.dev.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information or withdraw your consent to optional features such as newsletters or beta programs at any time.
  • Request full account erasure, which will deactivate credentials, remove synchronized content, and clear associated analytics traces.

You may also ask us to disable future access to the Services—effectively withdrawing from the app—by emailing info@benative.dev, and we will confirm once the request is complete. If you are based in a region with specific privacy rights (such as the EU or California), we honor applicable requests regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection. Contact us and we will respond promptly with the steps we take to verify and fulfill your request.

Children’s Privacy

Be Native is designed for adult professionals and aspiring developers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share personal information with third parties. All processing occurs within infrastructure controlled by Be Native. Payment information related to subscriptions is handled by Apple, and we do not receive or store your payment details.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or regulatory requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide in-app or website notices when appropriate. Continued use of the Services after an update signals your acceptance of the revised policy.
